Palisade Peach Festival

Visit the orchards and wineries of
Palisade during the annual harvest festival
in August and experience the sweet
taste of production. The annual Palisade
Peach Festival is a delicious experience.
Weekend events include a parade,
pancake breakfast, five-mile run, recipe
contest and barbecue.
There are plenty of tours to occupy
your time. Consider a self-guided tour of
historic Palisade’s buildings and Victorian
homes. If caffeine is your fancy, sign up

Tour. There are also tours of local farms,
orchards and wineries in the area.
Roots of the festival date to the late
1800s when it went by the name of
Peach Days and featured a Peach Queen.
Peach trees were first planted in the
region in the 1880s.
