The Buckhorn Exchange is an eatery full of history.
Denver’s oldest restaurant, the Buckhorn was
founded in 1893 by one of legendary Buffalo Bill
Cody’s band of frontiersman. Imagine being surrounded
by Old West trinkets — Native
American artifacts, hunting trophies and memorabilia
— while salivating over a steak or wild
game.
The rustic restaurant serves elk, buffalo, alligator
tail and rattlesnake, along with a variety of
flavorful dishes. A 5-minute drive from downtown
Denver, the Buckhorn has been visited by
countless celebrities over the years, including U.S.
Presidents and foreign leaders. Cowboy musicians
entertain guests with songs of the old west
Wednesday through Saturday evenings beginning
at 7:30 p.m.
Dinner is served seven days a week beginning
at 5 p.m. Fridays through Sundays and 5:30 p.m.
Mondays through Thursdays. The Buckhorn
Exchange also serves lunch.
