The Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum
offers a broad overview of American
history through the art of quilts.
Eugenia Mitchell established the
museum in 1990 by donating 100 quilts
from her personal collection. Now there
are more than 300 quilts in the collection
ranging from historic and traditional
types to contemporary and art quilts.
Educational programs throw kids into
the wonderful world of quilt-making;
there are even youth quilting bees.
The Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum is
open Monday through Saturday from
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The museum offers
free admission on the first Saturday of
January, April, July and October.
Admission is free for museum members
and $5 for non-member adults, $4 for
seniors, $3 for children ages 6-12.
Children 5 and younger are admitted for
free. Docents are available for tours in
both galleries.
